New York Hardcore’s Oral History featuring Agnostic Front, Biohazard & Quicksand

We explore the rise of New York Hardcore through three landmark bands who shaped different eras of the genre. Roger from Agnostic Front reflects on early NYHC, community-driven shows, CBGB’s and how a small group of outsiders built a scene from scratch. Billy from Biohazard breaks down the crossover moment — when hardcore collided with hip hop, street storytelling and heavier songwriting. Walter from Quicksand explains how that foundation evolved into post-hardcore: more emotional range, new influences and a different type of intensity.
